Privacy Policy — Money Tools

Money Tools is a set of calculators for everyday money questions. It runs on your device and sends nothing anywhere. This page says exactly what that means, including the parts that are not absolute.
The short version
The numbers you type — prices, rates, amounts, saved calculations — never leave your phone. There is no account to create, no advertising, no analytics service of ours, and no server belonging to Money Tools for anything to be sent to.
What Money Tools collects
Nothing. No personal data is collected, and none is shared.
Everything the app stores, and where it stays:

The Pro record holds no purchase number, no order id and no account identifier — only whether Google Play last confirmed a purchase.
Permissions
Money Tools asks for no permissions of its own. It does not use your location, camera, contacts, microphone, photos or files.
Four permissions do appear in the installed app, and all four come from Google Play Billing, which is what makes the Pro upgrade possible:

Money Tools contains no networking code of its own: no web requests, no crash reporter, no analytics endpoint that we wrote or chose. The internet permission is used by Google Play Billing and by nothing else.
Google Play Billing does include Google’s own telemetry component, which reports on how the billing library itself behaves. It is part of Google’s library, we do not send it anything, and it has no access to your calculations. Removing it would mean removing the ability to sell the Pro upgrade.
No calculation, amount, rate or saved record is ever sent anywhere.
Backup and moving to a new phone
Android normally backs up an app’s whole data folder to your Google Drive. Money Tools switches that off for everything except your settings.
That means your theme, language and currency follow you to a new phone — and your saved calculations do not. They stay on the phone you typed them into. That is the intended trade: the figures are yours and they stay where you put them.
Buying Pro
Money Tools Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. The app asks Play what Pro costs, whether you already own it, and to open Google’s own purchase screen. It never sees your card details or your Google account.
Google processes the payment under Google’s Privacy Policy. What Money Tools receives back is a price to display and a yes/no answer about whether you own Pro.
Even if you never open the Pro screen, the app asks Play once at launch whether you already own it — that is what lets a reinstall restore a purchase you already paid for. That request carries a product identifier, not anything about you or your calculations.
Sharing a result
The share button puts a plain-text copy of the figures already on your screen into Android’s share sheet. Nothing else is added — no identifiers, no timestamps. You choose where it goes, and from that point the app you sent it to handles it under its own terms.
Children
Money Tools is a general-purpose calculator. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
What this policy cannot promise
A privacy page that overclaims is worse than none, so:
- Google knows you installed the app, because you installed it from Google Play. That is between you and Google; Money Tools receives nothing from it.
- Google knows if you bought Pro, because Google processed the payment.
- Google Play knows the app asked about purchases, because that check is a request to Google’s servers. There is no way to restore a purchase without asking the store whether one exists.
- Your settings are in your Google backup if you have Android backup enabled. They contain no financial information.
A note on the figures
This policy is about data. It makes no claim about the calculations themselves: Money Tools is a calculator, not financial, tax or investment advice. Results are estimates based on what you enter. See Settings → Disclaimer in the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
